This is a Foodies’ original. I love asking for balsamic vinaigrette at restaurants, and figured it shouldn’t be so hard to make.


Balsamic Vinaigrette
A Foodies’ Kitchen Original Recipe
Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients:
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground mustard
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, mustard powder and honey.
  2. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.

Notes:

  • If you don’t have ground mustard, you can replace it with a tablespoon of spicy dijon mustard.
