Has it sunk in that its June already? Summer already ended here in Guatemala and we have welcomed our rainy season. Everything turns bright green and it rains most afternoons, but it’s all good. In the States, summer officially started since the Memorial Day weekend just passed. What’s perfect for both Summer and rainy season? Citrus.  We want to give you bright summery citrus recipes, and we also want them for ourselves to remind us of the cheerful sunny days.

Limes are magic! They are a great source of potassium, vitamins A, B, C, and D, calcium and magnesium. Now, are you in the habit ot drinking lime water in the morning? Its amazing: it improves your skin, digestion (since they are acidic, they help break down food for easy digestion), it naturally fights infections and lowers blood sugar. Lime water is simple to prepare: Squeeze the juice of one or two limes into a glass of lukewarm water and drink it first thing in the morning.

They also give your meals and desserts a deliciously citrus touch and are a great summer drink. Here are our favorite recipes:
