Little Foodies: Mini Pita Pizzas

What do you do when your kids bring a friend home from school for the afternoon? A good idea to keep them entertained is to have them make their own mini pita pizzas. It’s a safe bet they will eat them, even more so if they prepared them themselves with ingredients they chose.

To help it be an organized activity, you can put the different toppings inside the spaces of a muffin baking tin, and it’s a good idea to put the tomato sauce into a plastic squeeze bottle. This will save you the clean up of spillage. When the kids have finished preparing their mini pizzas, an adult can place them into a toaster oven so the base becomes crunchy and the cheese melts.

We had so much fun during this shoot at Playground in Almacenes Siman, and we found great products that we can use at home with Kristen preparing this recipe, such as a heat-resistant silicone cooking gloves, a set of aqua mason jars, and a set of environment friendly bamboo platters – all perfect for an afternoon picnic with the kids. We also loved the chalkboard cheese board!
