Sometimes we want to make snack time a little bit more special for the kids. Maybe you have a sick little one at home, or you want to give them a fun break after a long afternoon doing homework…. and these Animal Toasts are just what you need.

Little Foodies: Animal Toasts

They are a breeze to prepare, and have simple ingredients. You need a banana, a few strawberries and blueberries; and for the spreads you can use peanut butter (or almond butter), Nutella and cream cheese. The best of it all, is that the ingredients are healthy, and with this presentation the kids will likely eat them without making a fuss.

You can use the ingredients for the kids to put together the animal faces by themselves, or use their imagination to make new creations using the pictures bellow as guidance. You need a few small bowls with the spreads, a sliced banana, sliced strawberries, a few blueberries and a few apple sticks to make antennas or whiskers. In case you don’t have blueberries around, or can’t find at the supermarket, you can replace them with chocolate chips.

At Almacenes Siman we found so many products to aid us in the recipe, such as the small bowls set where we had the spreads, a set of pastel polka dot plates, a set of confetti-style short glasses (perfect for milk) two dishes shaped like leaves where we placed our berries for easy grabbing, and a wide variety of colorful place mats, guaranteed to make your kids’ places shine in the table.
