Little Foodies: Waffle Pizzas

One of the best things that you can do, is give a kid the opportunity to cook something and letting them to do it entirely. This is one of those recipes, that with little adult supervision, they can excel in the kitchen. You just need a toaster and prep a few items – mostly its just chopping fruit so they resemble real pizza ingredients.

We used papaya cut in strips simulating bell peppers, blueberries as if they were small cherry tomatoes, sliced strawberries instead of pepperoni, and colorful kiwi (in both green and yellow) so they would be pineapple and some other  veggies. The point is that the mini pizzas have to look colorful!

Oh, and a little extra tip, have a tablet of white chocolate and a grater nearby so you can grate the chocolate as if it were cheese. The kids will have a blast and will make the pizzas more real.

We found these small plates where we placed the fruit in Almacenes Siman. They are not ceramic but melamine! Perfect for the kids to use in the kitchen, because if they end up accidentally dropping them, they wont break into a million pieces. We also got a cool retro-looking toaster, different colored placemats and a set of confetti-themed plates that Kristen always loves to use.
