Little Foodies: Snowman Pizzas

This post is also available in / Esta entrada también está disponible en ESPAÑOL (SPANISH)

We liked this recipe a lot! It’s a simple way to prepare pizzas at home during the weekend. We used pizza crust mix to make the dough, which we found at the supermarket, it is very easy to prepare since you just have to add warm water and mix. From one bag, we got 2 personal snowman pizzas, a good size for older children. To make slightly smaller pizzas, snack type, you can divide the pizza into 4 pieces for smaller children.

The idea is to divide the dough into 2 or 4 pieces, it depends on the size of pizzas that you want to make and then divide each piece into 3 parts to form 3 circles: one for the snowman base, another slightly smaller for the torso, and the smallest to form the head.

We prefer tomato sauce for our pizzas, but to create these snowmen you can use Alfredo sauce to keep the colors on the white side. Place about 1 tablespoon of sauce on each circle, and then cover with grated mozzarella cheese. You can use a combination of different types of cheese.

For the ornaments, such as the scarf of our snowman, you can use ham or salami, or if you prefer the pizza to be vegetarian, you can use pieces of carrot or bell pepper. To form the nose, we formed triangles with carrots. For the eyes and buttons, we use sliced olives.

At Almacenes Siman, we found this black base, which is perfect for serving snacks such as hams and cheese, and we loved to serve our pizzas with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese to make it look like snow. We also found this neat grater that incorporates a container with measures that we use to grate our mozzarella cheese. In the kitchen section, you will find several models of spoons, ladles, and spatulas with a metallic handle and red silicone tips, excellent for cooking.

We would love you know if you try our recipe!
