Spicy Tuna & Avocado Cucumber Bites

If you want to switch it up from sushi, try these Spicy Tuna bites. Served as an appetizer, this recipe has a spicy kick from the sauce and a salty touch from the soy sauce.

Spicy Tuna & Avocado Cucumber Bites

We’re serving these with Chandon’s Garden Spritz, as it pairs beautifully with spicy Asian food, it has a spicy character with zesty yet rich orange flavors. Its nice citric notes balance with its sweetness.

Spicy Tuna & Avocado Cucumber Bites

Spicy Tuna & Avocado Cucumber Bites

Yields 12 bites, about 3 servings

Ingredients:
½ pound tuna, finely diced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sriracha
2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons green onions, finely sliced
½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
2 teaspoons black sesame seeds, toasted
1 cucumber, sliced thinly
1 avocado, thinly sliced

Preparation:

  1. Toss the tuna with the mixture of soy sauce, sriracha, rice wine vinegar, green onions, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
  2. Cut cucumber into slices. Cut avocado in half and cut into slices.
  3. Arrange cucumber slices on your serving platter. Add an avocado slice to each cucumber slice. Then, top with a tablespoonful of avocado mixture.
