California Grape Salad

A fresh and colorful salad in which we have included three colors of grapes: red, green, and black. Each one contributes its particular flavor creating a delicious combination along with a simple lemon vinaigrette. It is very easy to prepare, and it pairs with practically any type of food.

California Grape Salad

It is ideal for brunch or a special occasion meal, whether for lunch or dinner. We recommend preparing and serving it immediately so that the texture of the grapes and celery is maintained.

In addition to being delicious, it is a very healthy salad. All colors of grapes have nutrients and are a natural source of antioxidants and other polyphenols that are beneficial for our health and are found in the skin, pulp, and seeds of grapes.

California Grape Salad

Yields: 10 servings

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, zest and juice
½ teaspoon black pepper Pinch of salt
½ lb. red California Grapes, halved
½ lb. green California Grapes, halved
½ lb. black California Grapes, halved
½ cup diced celery, about 3 small stalks
½ cup raisins
3 tablespoons chopped basil
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, add grapes, celery, raisins, and basil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1½ teaspoons lemon zest, ½ teaspoon black pepper and a pinch of salt.
  3. Pour the dressing on top of the salad and mix. Taste for seasoning. Serve immediately.
