Happy Hour: Classic Paloma Cocktail

There’s nothing like a classic! The Paloma is a tequila-based cocktail, prepared by mixing tequila with grapefruit, lime, and sparkling water. To sweeten it, we can use either agave syrup or simple syrup (this last one, is made by bringing to a boil equal parts water and sugar until the sugar dissolves.

A Paloma offers you an effortless and flavorful refreshing drink. We recommend using clear tequila for this cocktail, as an aged liquor can overshadow the freshness of the mix.

To add a bit of flare, you can rim your glass with a bit of grapefruit and Tajín, to give it a spicy kick with a savory flavor. And this drink, it’s constructed right on the glass it’s being served on, no need to pull out the shaker on this one.

And one last tip, we encourage you to use fresh lime and grapefruit juice as the bottled versions will make your cocktails have a bitter aftertaste. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary and a grapefruit wedge.

You can find Volcán de mi Tierra Blanco at the Vinoteca Stores.
