The holidays are approaching, and this baked brie will be a delicious and beautiful looking appetizer to include in your recipes. We like to treat our family and friends to delicious foods when we get together for the holidays, but we don’t want to spend the whole time in the kitchen.

Recipes like this baked brie let us enjoy the company of our loved ones, while still presenting them with a delicious appetizer.

Baked Brie Balsamic Roasted California Grapes

The special ingredient in this recipe are black California grapes, they are roasted and later coated with a balsamic and honey reduction. The combination of the sweet roasted grapes with the tangy balsamic reduction and the soft gooey cheese is addictive! The final festive touch is given by adding fresh rosemary as a garnish.

Baked Brie Balsamic Roasted California Grapes

Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:
½ cup balsamic vinegar
½ tablespoon honey, plus more for serving
pinch black pepper
2 sprigs rosemary, more for garnish
½ tablespoon olive oil
1 8-oz. round of brie cheese, (one medium or two small rounds)
Black California Grapes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Pour balsamic vinegar and honey into a saucepan and add rosemary. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat to low.
  2. As soon as the reduction coats the back of a spoon, it’s ready. It takes about 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 º F.
  4. Toss the grapes in olive oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place the prepared grapes onto a parchment-covered sheet pan. Roast for 20-25, until the grapes are wrinkly and caramelized. Remove from the oven but leave the oven on. Transfer the grapes to a bowl.
  6. Place the brie on the same baking sheet with a clean sheet of parchment paper, and warm it in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the center of the brie feels soft.
  7. Place brie on a serving platter. Top brie with grapes, balsamic reduction, and more honey, if desired. Garnish with rosemary.
