Happy Hour: Blueberry & Mint Gin Cocktail

This post is also available in / Esta entrada también está disponible en ESPAÑOL (SPANISH)

This month we are featuring a very fresh and light cocktail that mixes gin, blueberries and mint. You can use your favorite brand of gin, but we recommend using Brockmans if you can find it. It contains notes of berries in it and has a unique flavor that is perfect for this cocktail, or another new favorite we have found is Beefeater 24, which is a London dry gin. It has a clear bottle with the red bottom and we love it because of its smooth and clean flavor.

Blueberry & Mint Gin Cocktail

As always, give your cocktail a squeeze of lime, and I usually like to add a spash of selzer water to cut down on the tonic’s bitterness a bit. If you want to make this a lighter version, you can cut the tonic water and use only selzer. (tonic water has a ton of sugar!)

How much tonic water or selzer you put into your drink is up to your personal preference, but as a guide, the usual amount is 2 oz gin and 3 oz tonic water. Additional to this, you can add a splash of selzer.
