Happy Hour: Chandon Délice & Strawberries and Cream

This post is also available in / Esta entrada también está disponible en ESPAÑOL (SPANISH)

A quick and perfect dessert pairing for a cold sparkling Chandon Délice. This demi-sec wine is made with a blend of grapes including Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir and offers notes on the palate of nectarines, pears, apples, and citrus. It is sweet, with a clean finish, and is best served with spicy dishes, such as stuffed jalapeños, Thai food, curry, and of course with decadent desserts such as tiramisu, creme brulee, and the classic strawberries with cream.

Chandon Strawberries with Whipped Cream

We recommend using homemade whipped cream for this dessert, it is very easy to prepare and so much better than the texture and flavor of canned whipped cream that you get at the supermarket. Plus, you can flavor with citrus zest, extracts, or cocoa.

Strawberries are the perfect berry to use for this dessert and to pair with Chandon Délice’s tasting notes. You can add a bit of orange liqueur to the berries for extra flavor.
Chandon Délice can be served over ice, for an extra refreshing beverage! We recommend adding a twist of orange peel.

You can also find our picnic basket for two recommendations here, which include a bottle of this delicious sparkling wine we are sure you will love!

You can find Chandon Délice at Vinoteca stores.
